SMTP and POP3 Settings
If for some reason you cannot or do not wish to use our own WinCOM or MacCom, you may want to use these programs instead.
You need to supply the following information to your mail program:
POP3 server name: (Please ask [email protected] for the name) POP3 server port: 110 POP3 authentication: APOP SMTP server name: (Please ask [email protected] for the name)
SMTP server port: 587 (instead of 25) SMTP authentication: MD5 Challenge-Response TLS/SSL: On User name: May be any of the following:
- your user number
- your login name (user name without the part in parentheses)
- your e-mail address ([email protected])
Password: your PAMHO password Notes:
- If you only want to retrieve mail addressed to you personally ("letters") and no conference mail, append an exclamation mark (!) to the user name.
- You may also append following options in square brackets to the user name:
[-L]
no letters [-T]
no conference texts [-F]
do not attach any files [F250]
do not attach files larger than 250KB [-A]
no mails that have attached files The options can also be combined. For example: [-T-F]
no conference texts and no attached files
- Members of the mail node CIS need to write
cis:
in front of their user name or number (without any spaces), or write the e-mail address ([email protected]).
